Wonderful Weekend with Erika!

We were so excited to have our dear friend Erika visit this weekend. She arrived from Denver Thursday night LATE (thanks to Frontier for delaying her flight several times) and stayed until late Sunday afternoon. She is a pro with babies after being around her adorable niece, Margot, who is now seven months old.

We had a lazy weekend of taking walks, making dinner, watching movies, and sitting outside in the beautiful weather. We did make a shopping trip to buy Ethan a few more summer things…Erika got him the cutest outfits!

We also met our friends Liz and Johnny at Schlafly Bottleworks for dinner. We walked the four blocks to the brewery in the gorgeous evening breeze and Ethan stayed awake through the entire meal! He was passed around the table and then entertained himself in his car seat while we ate. One of the best parts was, when we put Ethan to bed that night at 9:30pm, he slept until 3:20am!!! His longest sleep yet. He then went back down until 8am. It was glorious!

Sitting on the porch in the warm weather this morning was invigorating. We are so ready for spring!! After breakfast we took Dewey to the park and threw the ball for a while. If you can believe it, the temp climbed to 90 degrees! Not sure we’re ready for that kind of heat yet, but it was just nice not to be cold.

Ethan is now starting to be interested in the very cool activity mat my friend Amanda so kindly got us. His favorite part is a little giraffe that, when you squeeze it, plays Twinkle Twinkle Little Star in a high pitched squeal…he immediately stops fussing and pays attention. Murph go in on some playtime with Ethan too.

It was so fun having Erika here and we miss her already!! Hopefully we will make it to Denver soon for another visit.

So glad Erika was able to come for a visit. She looks great!! Can’t help but notice the absence of Ethan’s hair!!! I see what you mean about the hair line. Wonder what color his new hair will be.

So glad he’s starting to sleep longer. That is a huge deal when they sleep through the night. He’s on his way.

I can’t wait for his hair to come back!! It’s really just the top that fell out…the sides are still pretty full. I have no doubt his hair will be just like Stu’s eventually :)

I agree with Sandy, Erika looks wonderful!!
I too noticed Ethan’s hair loss. Stuart’s hair did the samething when he was Ethan’s age. Stu’s hair came back dark and thick.

Give the little man a kiss for me…good to hear your getting more sleep.

My girlfriends son’s hair did the same thing, she would find his hair everywhere! He still is too darn cute tho, hair or no hair :)
If he’s anything like his dad he will have TOO much hair when it comes back! he he
