Weekend Visitors: The Morrisons!

2012 August 20
by Becky

Holy cow, I’m exhausted.

After months of anticipation, our newly-wed friends Kate & Erik flew in for a weekend visit. It was a whirlwind of sight seeing, football, conversations, laughs, food, Irish drinking songs, shopping, and many adult beverages. Yes, we even got a much needed night out!

The Peanut was perfect and adorable, loving the attention from “Auntie Katie” and “Uncle Erik”. He didn’t even complain about the lack of nap on our touristy day! He just passed out for a bit in his stroller, waking up just in time to enjoy the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History…his fav.

So, since I’m so tired and ready for bed, these pictures will tell our story. Enjoy!

1. Great view of the monuments! 2. Dinner at Pizza Paradiso Old Town 3. More monument walking 4. Ethan enamored by the whale at Nat History 5. Boys at Murphy’s Grand Irish Pub 6. Posing with LM at WWII memorial 7. Mr. Lincoln 8. Ethan’s friend at the museum 9. Lovers at the Old Town Harbor 10. Shoulder fun! 11. Hangin with FDR 12. Arugula topped pizza…yum 13. Wa-wa at Korean War memorial 14. Beer-thirty 15. Petting FDR’s best friend 16. Me with Pat the Irish singer 17. WWII Memorial & Washington Monument 18. M-I-Z-Z-O-U (sucks. Go Huskers!) 19. Thanks Kate & Erik for flying out to visit. We loved showing you around our neck of the woods and can’t wait to do it again soon!!!!
