Walkin’ In the Sunshine

It feels like spring!

Our weather is so glorious—it’s invigorating to get outside and soak up the vitamin D! So that’s just what we’ve been doing.

Since we are full steam ahead on getting The Peanut to walk, we took his Winnie the Pooh walker outside and hit the pavement on Sunday. Pooh was found a couple months ago at my fav consignment shop, Bellies & Babies, and at $14 it was a heck of a bargain (and helped me stick with my goal of not purchasing plastic toys new). It makes all sorts of noises and sings songs that will be stuck in your head for days.

Ethan LOVES it. He figured out how to use it right away! He was all, “Mom, I needed one of these! Why didn’t you give me this before?!”

He tears all over the house with it, running into walls and the animals, but outside there was lots more room to roam.

See the walking action for yourself!

Since the day just kept getting better, we headed to Founders Park (a few blocks from home, near the harbor) for a picnic. Even the Dew-man got in on the outdoor family fun. We threw the ball, did some more walking, and basked in the nice warm sun.

We should be on our way to first steps soon, but for now he still prefers crawling. When did your little one start to walk? What did you do to help them out?

It’s so funny–your first kid you can’t WAIT for them to walk! And then your second you could care less because you know they’ll just be able to get into even more you don’t want them in :) I did absolutely nothing to help my kids walk, is that strange? I was never in a hurry.

Ethan is getting ENORMOUS! I can’t believe it.

We got Annette something very similar and within 2 weeks if that she was walking.. So I’m guessing in a matter or weeks or days he will be walking too! I honestly thought Annette wouldnt be walking for a while, according to my mom I was a really late walker?! Didn’t know that till I was pregnant by the way! So I was shocked when on super bowl Sunday she just went for it and it was like a light switch went off! Now she’s running.. Away from careful what you wish for! Hehe! He is just adorable.. I want to squeeze him :)
