Visit from Grandma & Grandpa Schon
After over two weeks of going back and forth about grandparents coming to visit, my parents (Sandy & Joe) decided to make the 13+ hour drive from Scottsbluff, NE to meet their new grandson.
And to top it off, the weather was brewing up something awful! So they left a day early (Tuesday) and arrived in the later afternoon yesterday (Wednesday). They came straight to the hospital to meet Ethan, who was of course fast asleep the whole time (but very excited, no doubt).
While they are staying with my aunt and uncle during their visit, Sandy and Joe have been a huge help by making us dinner, walking Dewey (poor dog), and doing some cleaning at the house. This all gave Stu and I more time at the hospital and a minute to sit down and breathe the last two evenings.
Since the NICU rules only allow two people at the bedside at one time, we have to do some rearranging for visits, but the nurses did let three of us in for a few pictures…it was great!
Grandma Johnson loves the picture of Sandy and Joe visiting baby Ethan. What a great picture of you all. I cannot wait to come sometime in February and see my little superstar….Here helping Amy get ready for her bundle. Saturday the doctor will induce….
