St. Patrick’s Day!
Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
Stu is off running a marathon—literally, he’s running the Sun Trust Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon in DC—so Ethan and I are hanging out on this beautiful day, getting ready to head over to the farmers market to pick up provisions for our impromptu gathering later this afternoon.
That’s right, with 26.2 miles in his future, Stu suggested we have people over to celebrate the holiday. So when he and Ethan get up for their naps, there will be green beer and friends with whom to share his marathoning stories.
True to my holiday tradition, I whipped up a little onesie for Ethan. Using a plain white onesie, the tiny bit of clover fabric for a “tie” (fabric found on clearance months ago), and some left over lime green fabric for the suspenders, it cost about 1.00$ and took about 20 minutes to make—my favorite kind of project.
It was challenging to get him to hold still for a picture…he is the squirmiest baby! Here he is waving at me.
Handing me a book.
Playing with toys.
And, finally, checking out his new set of Duplo Legos. Since they came in a big green box, I thought they’d be a perfect gift for St. Patty’s Day.

He sucked on every single lego in the box…it was like he was claiming them as his own. Legos were my favorite thing to play with when I was a kid, so I’m looking forward to building with The Peanut. Now if I can just work around all the slobber…
Hope you have a very Irish day (that includes some green beer)!

Love the St. Pat’s Day onesie. Yea to Stu. Have a great party!!
