Wipe With Style

alert, this is a sponsored post. but as you, my readers, know, I’d never talk about a product I didn’t totally love and recommend. so read on or skip it, up to you. but let there be no doubt that I use these wipes daily and love love love them!

Do you ever get excited about a product, just something little and normal but it just makes you happy every time you use it? Perfect examples for me are my electric toothbrush, Dr. Bromners soap—I swear I wash my hands twice as much as before, and, most recently, Huggies Clutch ‘n’ Clean Wipes.

I frequently wonder how I ever lived my life without carrying wipes around with me 24/7. About the only time I don’t have a mostly-full pack of wipes (because I get so nervous and refill before it gets too low…running out is what nightmares are made of) is when I’m out completely void of anything kid-related, like girls night or date night. But let’s be honest, these instances are few and far between.

In the past, wipes have just been…wipes. An ugly, crunchy package with some sort of flip top (that didn’t always open correctly and would allow everything to dry out too quickly), just screaming, “I Have A KID!!!! Stand Clear!! Does anyone need a snack or diaper change???” I never sprung for a fancy cover or clutch and never really wanted one until a couple weeks ago when I hosted a baby shower for my good friend Liz and watched an adorable little package be passed around the group of ooo-ing and ahhh-ing ladies.

“What is that?? Where is it from??” I exclaimed because the pattern was just TOO cute. It had to have come from some overpriced children’s shop.

“Um, Target I think?” replied the gift giver and on my next Target run I went searching for them. The pretty patterns were calling to me from the middle of the Huggies aisle. I’d actually never used Huggies brand wipes before but the stylish format sealed the deal…we were gonna give ’em a whirl.

Ethan is completely potty trained now (although the emergency shorts/shirt/underwear kit still goes with us everywhere) so it would seem like my wipes-toting days are winding down, but of course that’s not the case. In just a few days we used these babies for:

  • cleaning up grocery store cookie face
  • playground hands
  • yogurt lips
  • mascara smudge eye
  • muddy Puggle feet
  • melted granola bar fingers
  • restaurant table top
  • popsicle drip
  • farmers market strawberry smears
  • carseat chocolate smear
  • coffee stained shirt

I found myself downright PROUD to whip out my little cutesie Huggies Clutch ‘n’ Clean. I was asking my friends if they’d heard of it, exclaiming, “How cute is this?” like I worked for Huggies or something. (I swear, I don’t. Just this one little post is all about them.)

At just $3.99 (which includes the clutch and a pack of 32 super-strong wipes) and with three patterns to choose from, I bought several of these durable clutches to keep all over. My car, gym/pool bag, purse, and diaper bag are fully supplied. I love that I can refill them easily, with however many wipes I want—no committing to 50 or 100 that I have to lug around with me all day. And these clutches will absolutely be the finishing touch to every upcoming baby shower gift…what new mommy wouldn’t love one poking out of her new diaper bag??

Have you seen anyone with a clutch? Were you green with envy? I dare you to grab one of these puppies and feel anything but elated pulling it out of your purse.

What’s your favorite piece of diaper bag gear? What do I need for this new baby’s stash??

We just bought the exact same one!! HA! I love it! you can hang it on the bathroom door when doing a change – a critical detail everyone misses! (now if I could find a wetbag with a loop for hanging, too!)

I know!!!! So great. As for a wet bag, the Planet Wise ones I got at Cottonbabies (or on Amazon) have loops. Perfect for hooking over a door handle! And the ones with a dry pocket on the front are really nice. They are #24 on our First Year Baby Gear list.

I heard you on the diaper bag dilemma! And that pool is the Cardonelet YMCA pool…it’s amazing!!! We should meet up there sometime! You can pay a daily rate during the week but on weekends you have to be with a member.
