Cowboy Ethan

After a year of failed attempts and clear disinterest, Ethan finally tried on his cowboy hat.

I won’t lie, it took Grandpa putting on his hat AND a bribe of M&Ms to get that sucker on his head. But once it was on, he really grew to love it.

Oh, and those rain boots? Bringing them was the best decision I made while doing the impossible task of packing for this trip. So far it has been super warm, super cold, extremely windy, and today it snowed. But all we needed was these boots to keep Ethan happy on the farm.

Putting the Guineas away…

And checking out Grandpa’s tractor…

The rest of the time he wore that hat for our entertainment and a few photo ops.

While shopping at my new favorite store, Murdoch’s Ranch & Home Supply which sells everything from tools and feed to clothes and toys, I checked out some authentic cowboy boots to complete the ensemble we had going with the jeans and hat. Just couldn’t quite pull the trigger though…wasn’t sure we’d get $60 worth out of them.

We’ll stick with the rain boots (from Zulilly?) that have miraculously fit him for over a year now. They are like the “Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants” but in footwear. Who knew!?

What clothing item have you caved on knowing it would barely get used?
